Pruning Guide
Most trees and shrubs need pruning to promote healthy growth, regulate shape, and remove old or diseased parts. Pruning at the proper time of year is essential. Use clean sharp pruning tools for this process.
Prune from Winter to early Spring:

Prune from Spring to early Summer after blooming:
- Azaleas
- Hydrangea
- Forsythia
- Weigelia
- Spring Flowering Spirea
- Spring Flowering Viburnum
- Roses
Winterizing
Remove all spent blooms and vegetation in late fall. Top- dress with pine straw, hay, or mulch for insulation.
